As Reese is on the hunt for Big Mouth, the monstrous creature of the woods, the Wildheart known as Mave swoops in to assist. The two discuss the Imagined Order employee known as John Jones. Reese does not think John Jones is to be trusted. Mave decides to take it upon herself and walk around the island in search of the other’s opinion such as Menace, the undefeated gladiator, and Daryl, the zombie slayer. Meanwhile, Jules heads back to Catty Corner and notices two IO Guards scouting the perimeter. It is here, where Jules realizes IO is after her, and her father, Midas.
